Why it matters.
A partner status means something only because the issuer checks it. Google says Partner status is checked daily and requires a minimum optimisation score of 70%, a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 across managed accounts, and at least 50% of account strategists certified in Google Ads. A buyer who knows that can read the badge as evidence of active, certified work.
There is no published study on whether partner listings change AI answers, which is why the grade here is emerging. The verification benefit to buyers is direct.
The 10-minute self-check.
For every partner badge on your site:
- Does it link to the issuer’s listing of your company, not to an image or the issuer’s homepage?
- Is the status still current?
- Does the issuer’s listing carry the same name, website and services as your facts page?
- Is the badge on pages where buyers decide: service pages, not only the footer?
Steps.
- List every partner programme you belong to and find your public listing in each one.
- Link each badge to that listing.
- Complete the listing profile with the facts from play 06.
- Remove any badge whose status has lapsed. A stale badge damages trust more than a missing one.
- Add the listing URLs to your Organization markup as
sameAslinks.
Partner status underpins our Google Ads management, which is why the badge links to Google’s own listing.

How to measure it.
- Badge links: share of badges that link to the issuer’s listing. Target 100%.
- Status check: confirm each status is current. Quarterly.
- Listing match: issuer listing facts against your facts page. Quarterly.
